After hearing the sad sad news from Graceland this morning that Max, one of our horses, had just passed, both my dogs Boz and little Ridley immediately rushed over to comfort me," Priscilla wrote on Instagram.

She added, "I will miss Max tremendously. His story I will always hold dear to my heart."

While Max was not one of The King's personal horses, he was special to the Presley family, as they have taken in many horses over the years in honor of the late singer.

Max reportedly came from a rescue unit called, Six Horses Saved.

Priscilla arranged to have Max come to Graceland and instantly fell in love with him.

Many of the horses at Graceland are descendants of Elvis' prized equines, including Rising Sun.

Fans of Presley went into the comments of her Instagram post to give condolences and offer support during her sad time.

"So sorry Priscilla. Don’t be surprised if he visits you in a dream the next few days to let you know he’s ok," one person wrote.

Another commented that, "he horses at Graceland are so beautiful & I know you must have loved them so much. I will be praying for you & the caregivers during this difficult time."
