Priscilla Presley Just Reiterated This Important Part of Her Early Relationship With Elvis Presley

From the outside, Priscilla Presley and Elvis Presley‘s relationship raises a series of questions. For starters, when the two first began their relationship, Priscilla was only 14 years old when Elvis was 24. But, despite her being in her early teenage years and their 10-year age gap, the world was fascinated by the two of them at the time.

Years since their relationship, however, there’s one thing Priscilla continues to clarify: that their relationship was not sexual until they got married when she was 21 years old. In a recent interview with Fox 32, she set the record straight once again. “People go, ‘Oh my god, how could this happen?'” she told the outlet. “It was not a sexual relationship, being 14 years old.”

In fact, it seems like their dynamic was more friendly than anything else. “What I think really attracted him to me was the fact that I was the listener,” she revealed. “He poured his heart out to me in Germany. He was very, very lonely. He trusted me with a lot of things that he shared.”

Soon after they connected in Germany, Priscilla moved to Graceland. Seven years later, they said their “I do’s.”

Most recently, there has been a greater spotlight on their relationship than ever with the release of Elvis and Priscilla. The Sofia Coppola-directed movie Priscilla, for example, was based on Priscilla’s memoir, Elvis and Me.

“I was happy with it,” Priscilla said of the recently released movie. “I thought [Coppola] did a great job and especially the actress [Cailee Spaeny] was unbelievable. She honestly got me down to a T.”

“I did have a couple of meetings with her and she said, ‘Is there anything that you can tell me that I can go by?’ and I said, ‘Yes, just be sensitive, please,'” she admitted.

Priscilla, starring Spaeny and Jacob Elordi as Elvis, is currently in theaters.
