Princess Sofia of Sweden is getting good use out of her go-to tiara.

The Duchess of Värmland, 39, shimmered in her Palmette Tiara twice in a row this week, where she sported the sparkler in two different ways. Princess Sofia wore the delicate diamond headpiece to the 2023 Nobel Prize Banquet at Stockholm City Hall on Sunday in its emerald setting and switched it up by skipping the extra gems for the King's Nobel Dinner at the Royal Palace on Monday.

Princess Sofia received the tiara as a wedding present from her in-laws, King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia, when she married Prince Carl Philip in 2015 and wore it with emeralds on her wedding day.

According to The Court Jeweller, Queen Silvia had the tiara made from a necklace she received from a Thai prince. The accessory was discreetly designed to be versatile, as different stones can be swapped at the top of the diamond palmettes. Through the years, Sofia has sported pearls, turquoise and light blue gems on the Palmette Tiara — though she also has access to the royal vault and has also worn other tiaras since her royal wedding day.

Princess Sofia kept the attention on her wedding headpiece at the Nobel Prize Banquet on Sunday by wearing a long-sleeved black gown. She stacked more sparkle with a statement necklace and bracelets from Swarovski and pinned on her royal orders. Sofia also added something special to her hair — flowers!

On Monday, she donned her tiara again — this time, without the emeralds. The royal looked like a Christmas princess in a red ballgown with an off-the-shoulder neckline and entered the Nobel Dinner with Prince Carl Philip, 44.

“During two solemn and interesting days, we have had the privilege of being present when science and literature have been celebrated,” the couple recapped on their joint Instagram page, posting more photos from the back-to-back festivities.

The Nobel Prize Banquet is a staple on the Swedish royal family’s annual calendar, as the Nobel Prizes in physics, chemistry, physiology or medicine and literature are presented in Stockholm each year, according to Nobel Prize history.

King Carl XVI Gustaf, 77, presented the awards at the ceremony on Sunday, where Queen Silvia and Crown Princess Victoria also wore dazzling headpieces.

Crown Princess Victoria, 46, popped in purple, coordinating the Napoleonic Amethyst Parure Tiara with her violet gown. Queen Silvia, 77, glittered in the all-diamond Nine-Prong Tiara and completed the look with the earrings from the Pink Topaz Parure, complementing her rose look.

It’s been a busy month so far for the Swedish royal family, as December kicked off with another special occasion: Princess Sofia’s birthday.
