Princess Madeleine of Sweden 'forced' to make pregnancy announcement early

Another day, another royal pregnancy.

Princess Madeleine of Sweden recently announced that she's expecting her third child with Christopher O'Neill. The 35-year-old royal has been married to her British-American husband since 2013. The two are already parents to daughter Princess Leonore and Prince Nicolas.

According to People, the family currently lives in London, where Madeleine and O'Neill put much of their focus on their children.

The princess previously expressed to the publication the importance she places on spending time with her family. "I think because my mom and father, of course, were so devoted to their work and as king and queen, they have lots of obligations, so they were away quite a bit when we were small. But when they were home, they were very present and I feel that I want to give my children as much as I can," she expressed.

Previously, the two hinted at growing their family, but wanted to "wait" as to ensure their eldest children get "100% of [their] attention."

On Sunday, Madeleine made the pregnancy announcement on Facebook, where she's been congratulated by many. She was "forced" to make the reveal earlier than she would have liked.

According to reports, the family wanted to hold off on the announcement until she's made it through the first few months. "After revealing she was expecting her third child to friends, it became apparent that the news was going to break before the Royal Court had made the official announcement after she had gotten through her first trimester," said the Royal Central.

Confirming the news, Madeleine's mother Queen Silvia said, according to Royal Central, "We are extremely happy. But, we would have liked to wait a little longer to tell. Also, Princess Madeleine and Chris O'Neill would've wanted that. It's a bit early yet."
