Princess Eugenie and Zara Tindall Are the Cutest Cousins at Horse Racing Event with Queen Camilla

It was a royal family affair on the second day of the Cheltenham Festival — where Zara was technically on duty!

Princess Eugenie and Zara Tindall are having a day at the races!

On Wednesday, the first cousins stepped out at the Cheltenham Festival at the Cheltenham Racecourse in Gloucestershire. The equestrian event was a royal family affair with Queen Camilla and Princess Anne also in attendance, as was Eugenie’s husband, Jack Brooksbank, and Zara’s husband, Mike Tindall.

Cameras caught a sweet moment of Princess Eugenie, 33, and Zara, 42, walking arm in arm at the track with big grins.

The cousins were similarly all smiles at an event together just a few months ago when Zara supported Princess Eugenie at the inaugural Winter Gala for her charity The Anti-Slavery Collective in November 2023.

Princess Eugenie was similarly supportive of Zara on Wednesday, as Princess Anne’s daughter has a professional connection to the Cheltenham Festival. Zara, a professional equestrian, became the Cheltenham Racecourse director in 2020, and she and her husband are frequent fixtures at the Cheltenham Festival, which Queen Camilla also often attends.

On Wednesday, the Queen, 76, had the honor of presenting the trophy for The Queen Mother Champion Steeple Chase. The flagship race on “Style Wednesday” is described as the most prestigious for two-mile chasers on the jump racing calendar and is named after Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, who passed down her passion for horse racing to her daughter, Queen Elizabeth. Queen Elizabeth was a regular at races like the Epsom Derby and Royal Ascot throughout her record reign, breeding various champion horses and reportedly earning millions in prize money through the years.

When Queen Elizabeth died in September 2022 at age 96, her eldest son and successor King Charles inherited her 100 thoroughbred horses, The Guardian reported, though almost a third were soon sold off. Over the summer, King Charles and Queen Camilla were in for a treat when their horse Desert Hero won on the third day of the Royal Ascot, which they animatedly watched from the stands.

The King’s niece Zara, who was also there during the King George V Stakes race, told ITV Racing that the victory was "bittersweet."

"To think how proud our grandmother the Queen would have been, but to have a winner for Charles and Camilla and keep the dream alive was incredible,'' she said at the time.

Queen Camilla arrived solo at the track on Wednesday, sporting a horseshoe brooch for the race day. After taking some time off, it’s been a busy week for the royal, who led the royal family in King Charles’ stead at the Commonwealth Day Service at Westminster Abbey on Monday and attended a Women of the World reception at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday, where she received her own Barbie doll!

"Thank you very, very much indeed. It's brilliant," the Queen joked in signature humor. "You've taken about 50 years off my life."

"We should all have a Barbie!" she added.

The Queen has been a steady presence at public events as King Charles postpones public-facing duties while receiving cancer treatment and will make royal history on Monday as the first consort to lead the ancient Royal Maundy Service.

''She is his strength and stay like [Prince Philip] was for the late Queen,'' a palace insider tells PEOPLE about how Queen Camilla supports King Charles. ''She will be great. She will rally him, she will buoy him. She is amazing. She equips him to do the job he has to do.''
