Princess Eugenie is looking back at the fairytale of her royal wedding day.

On Thursday, the royal posted a previously unseen video that captured the magic of her Oct. 12, 2018 nuptials to Jack Brooksbank. Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s younger daughter married Jack in a storybook ceremony at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. Thursday marks their fifth wedding anniversary — and in a flash forward to their lives now, Eugenie included their first publicly released family portrait with both of their sons, 2-year-old son August and 4-month-old son Ernest!

“5 years ago today.. ❤️❤️,” Eugenie, 33, captioned the clip, set to “You’ve Got the Love” by Florence and the Machine. It counted down from five and rolled to footage of St. George's Chapel, the Royal Standard flying in the wind, light coming through the trees (where a disco ball hung!), the Rolls-Royce the bride rode in with her father and the horse-drawn carriage she and Jack would take after the ceremony.

The clip cut to Princess Eugenie’s Peter Pilotto gown on a mannequin (designed with an open back to show her childhood scoliosis surgery scar), the Greville Emerald Kokoshnik Tiara being placed on her head and the bride departing for the ceremony, bouquet in hand.

The video then gave a glimpse of Jack getting ready for the big day, where he raised a glass of champagne with friends, took photos and had his boutonniere pinned on.

The snippet showed the wedding ceremony underway inside St. George's Chapel, where Meghan Markle and Prince Harry previously tied the knot that May. Jack, 37, smiled as he saw his bride (with glasses on for the perfect view!) walk up the aisle with Prince Andrew, and Princess Eugenie beamed as they were married. The camera caught the Duchess of York (who is popularly known as Fergie) and Princess Beatrice looking on with love from their seats, a close-up of Eugenie’s unique pink engagement ring and the newlyweds walking down the aisle, with their crew of page boys and flower girls (including Prince George and Princess Charlotte!) behind them.

The longtime couple then shared their first kiss on the church steps as husband and wife, and Eugenie laughed next to Jack. The film fast-forwarded through a few photos, with "12 October 2018" typed over the romantic carriage photo Princess Eugenie previously posted for their fourth anniversary. Signifying the passage of time, the text updated with each following year, laid over shots of the couple dancing at their evening wedding reception at Royal Lodge, a formal portrait in their wedding best and smiling for a selfie.

The film finished with the first public image of Princess Eugenie and Jack as a family of four with their sons. The parents were all smiles in the beach snap, where August adorably held up his hands before Jack, who kneeled to his son’s level and wrapped an arm around Eugenie, who held baby Ernest, bundled in a towel.

Princess Eugenie is one of only a few members of the British royal family to maintain a public Instagram presence and uses the platform to mark milestones. In June, she used her account to announce the birth of her second son, Ernest George Ronnie, and celebrated her sister Princess Beatrice’s birthday with sweet sister pictures in August.

In March, Fergie spoke about how different her daughter’s weddings were while discussing her novel A Most Intriguing Lady at The 92nd Street Y in New York City, While Eugenie tied the knot in a classic royal wedding complete with pomp and pageantry, Beatrice’s nuptials with Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi were ultimately delayed and scaled back to a handful of guests (including Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip) due to the COVID pandemic in 2020.

"The first one was a little difficult, cause it was Eugenie's wedding, and that was all sort of taken out of my hands. But I did the dress with Eugenie, all the personal bits, which was lovely," Fergie said on stage about her hand in planning.

"The second one was definitely me because it was 30 people and it was in the pandemic. And it was in the garden, so I opened it up," she continued, referencing Beatrice and Edo’s celebration. "Had a really fun time."
