Princess Diana’s Niece Lady Amelia Is Getting Unwaranted Backlash for a Royal Protocol-Breaking Ad

Princess Diana’s niece Lady Amelia Spencer has caused an uproar by breaking royal protocol, just like her aunt (and we think she’s looking as fabulous as ever)!

On Feb 4, Spencer shared a video of her latest modeling/ influencer gig for Stripe and Stare. She shared the video with the caption reading, “Start the week off right @stripeandstare ❤️ 🩲 The comfiest and softest undies made from Tencel Modal wood based fibres that are fully biodegradable 💚 🪵 Use discount code AMELIA20 #ad.”

In the video, we see Amelia modeling red underwear, a black tee, and a red scarf. As she steps out of the front door of the home she’s at, she shuts it behind her, tosses her scarf over her shoulder, and walks to the camera. A simple yet effective ad that Amelia rocked.

Now, many fans praised the star for her bold ad. “She is the moment,” one fan wrote, with another saying, “Yesss Meels! Obsessed with my Stripe & Stare pantalons.”

But with the praise, always comes the trolls. The post hit the public eye in a more mainstream way after DailyMail covered it, and many trolls commented on how this was un-royal-like and how she should be punished for it.

“Abusing her title, her father’s Earldom should be revoked,” one person wrote. Another troll wrote, “Brave ? More like SIC !”

So a couple of things: for one thing, she’s 43rd in line for the throne, and isn’t the first royal woman to break fashion protocols. Secondly, and most importantly, she’s a model, and yknow what models do? They model different pieces.

For those who don’t know, born July 10, 1992, Ladies Amelia and Eliza are the third and fourth eldest children of Diana’s younger brother Charles Spencer 9th Earl Spencer. They both signed with STORM Models a few years back, and have modeled for The Rake Magazine, Chopard, and Tatler Magazine. Along with that, Amelia is a wedding planner, so she is a versatile public figure.
