Princess Diana had to deal with Sam Neill’s son farting next to her at ‘Jurassic Park’ premiere

Must go faster … away from Sam Neill’s kid.

The 1993 premiere of “Jurassic Park” was a memorable one for Neill — and not just because Princess Diana attended. The actor revealed that his son, Tim, couldn’t stop farting as he sat next to the People’s Princess.

“There was a royal premiere in London, and it was … sort of a fortuitous occasion — you don’t get to sit beside Princess Diana every day,” Neill, 76, told the hosts on “Today” while promoting his new series “Apples Never Fall.”

“But my son was sitting on the other side [of me] and it was kind of unfortunate,” the New Zealand actor stated. “Because once it starts getting exciting, about 45 minutes in, he was so carried away with things — he was about 10 years old at this point — he started to fart unreasonably.”

While the “Peaky Blinders” actor assured that the gas wasn’t loud, there were other more noticeable aspects.

“It wasn’t that audible, but it was very, very [smelly],” he continued. “And there was sort of a draft through the cinema, and it was all drifting in the princess’ direction.”

“And I was there in my suit and bow tie and things, sweating like crazy because I thought, ‘The princess is going to think this is me. And it’s this little boy here.'”

When asked if he hung his son out to dry, Neill responded that he did not.

“No, I couldn’t,” he said. “He hates me telling that story, but it’s absolutely true.”

He joked: “I’m never going to another premiere with him!”

According to the “Jurassic Park: Dominion” star, Diana, who died in a car crash at age 36 in August 1997, was a massive fan of the film.

“I’d seen [the movie] three or four times by then,” the “Tudors” star told GQ in June 2022. “So it was really half an eye on the screen and half an eye on her, looking at how she was reacting, and sometimes she would have her hands in front of her eyes. I mean, she really loved it.”

Diana and Tim also had a “long chat” about the film and “agreed on everything.”

The actor’s Peacock series, out March 14, co-stars Annette Bening and is the 10th project Neill has undertaken since being diagnosed with Stage 3 blood cancer in 2021.

“The thing is, I’m crook. Possibly dying,” Neill wrote in his memoir, “Did I Ever Tell You This?,” where he made the startling revelation. “I may have to speed this up.”

Neill had been experiencing swollen glands during the press tour for the latest installment of the “Jurassic Park” franchise. It wasn’t until later that he was diagnosed with angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma and was forced to undergo chemotherapy.

In March 2023, the actor released a statement telling fans that he was “alive and kicking.”

“I am alive and well and I have been in remission for eight months, which feels really good,” he said in an Instagram video. “And I’m alive and kicking and I’m going to work.”

Recently, Neill revealed that he wasn’t “remotely afraid” of dying.

“I know I’ve got it, but I’m not really interested in it,” the actor told Australian Story.

“It’s out of my control. If you can’t control it, don’t get into it,” he said, adding that he’s “prepared” for death.

“I started to look at my life and realize how immensely grateful I am for so much of it,” he continued. “I started to think I better write some of this down because I’m not sure how long I have to live. I was running against the clock.”
