Prince William Is All of Us When Asked About Due Date of Prince Harry & Meghan Markle’s Baby
At this point, the entire world seemingly waits with bated breath for news about the birth of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s first child. And, thanks to video footage shared on a fan account Saturday, we now know that the royal family might be in the dark with the rest of us — Prince William admitted he has “no idea” when the newest royal baby is due. Welcome to the club, Wills! You’re in good company; we’ve all been here awhile.
Per People, William gave his non-update during a trip to New Zealand. During the visit, an outspoken fan mustered up the courage to ask, “Any signs of the royal baby?” Because with the imminent arrival of Meghan and Harry’s little one, locals (and globals, and everyone in between) are at a heightened state of royal baby watch. Hilariously, though, William made the confession that he’s out of the loop at the moment. “I haven’t got my phone on me. I have no idea! You guys will find out before I do at this rate!” he jokingly told the crowd.

The exchange was captured on video, which is impressive considering how buttoned up all of the royals have been about the birth of Meghan and Harry’s firstborn.
Perhaps Will’s willingness to comment is further evidence that rumors of any feuding between Meghan and Kate Middleton or William and Harry are finally waning. Last weekend, William and Kate reportedly visited Meghan and Harry at their new Frogmore Cottage home. And, per the Daily Mail, any tension between Will and Harry was squashed weeks ago. With the negative headlines behind them (here’s hoping!), the four can focus on their adorable families.
Alas, when Meghan will give birth is anybody’s best guess. She and Harry have already made expressly clear that they don’t intend to make the arrival of Baby Sussex public news until they have had time to celebrate and adjust as a family. Naturally, this means that there has been much speculation — and a few false alarms on social media — about the royal baby’s arrival. However, Harry was present on Sunday for the London Marathon to cheer on runners, suggesting Baby Sussex has yet to make his or her debut.
Whenever the baby comes, though, here’s hoping someone gives ol’ Wills a heads up!
