Prince William may have just won some cool points from his children, Prince GeorgePrincess Charlotte and Prince Louis!

The Prince of Wales, 41, received a prestigious award from BBC production Blue Peter, the longest-running children's TV show in the world, having first aired in October 1958.

Prince William received a green badge in recognition of his work with the Earthshot Prize, the environmental contest he created that seeks to find solutions to the planet’s challenges. The episode where the royal received the honor airs on CBBC at 5 p.m. local time on Friday as part of the show's 65th birthday special.

After receiving the award from Joel Mawhinney (who, showing off his magic talent, also did a card trick with the prince), William will help present the "big badge wall" that features drawings and letters themed on nature and the environment sent in by young viewers.

The traditional Blue Peter pin has been given out for six decades to children and adults alike who achieve extraordinary things or do good in the community. But since 1988, a green badge version has been the main focus of the TV show's environmental activities. It recognizes children who show they care about the planet, climate change, recycling and protecting animals and their habitats.

This isn't the first Blue Peter badge that Prince William has received. In 2017, he and his wife, Kate Middleton, were given their gold version in recognition of their work on mental health. They followed William’s late grandmother Queen Elizabeth, who is also a recipient of the special award. Prince William joked that he'd "compare" his badge with that of his granny, with Kate adding that they’ve "got a lot more work to do" to match her.

Blue Peter first aired in 1958 (the actual anniversary is on Monday, Oct. 16), and this year is also the 60th anniversary of the introduction of the iconic Blue Peter badges.
