Prince Louis' First Birthday Photos Are Too Cute To Handle
Here is some cuteness to start your day. On April 22, one day before he officially turned 1, Kensington Palace shared Prince Louis’ first birthday photos on social media. The three portraits adorably feature Louis posing for the camera. The best part of the pictures is Louis’ smile that also shows off his two, and only, front teeth. There’s no denying he is just as cute as his brother, Prince George, and sister, Princess Charlotte.
As Kensington Palace wrote next to the portraits, “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to share these new photographs of Prince Louis ahead of his first birthday tomorrow. The photographs were taken earlier this month by The Duchess at their home in Norfolk.”

When Kensington Palace releases images of Kate and Prince William’s children, the pictures are sometimes photographed by the Duchess of Cambridge. She certainly has a knack for photography and always manages to beautifully capture her kids in a sweet, loving and playful light.
For example, when the palace released the first official images of Louis in May 2018 after his birth on April 22 of that same year, the images were once again taken by Kate. As a way to celebrate both Louis’ arrival and Charlotte’s third birthday, one portrait sweetly showcased Charlotte kissing her baby brother on the forehead. Kate also took another solo photo of Louis that showed his eyes wide open only three days after he was born.

As you can see above, Louis can’t stop smiling and laughing in the photos. According to a source who spoke with People, “He really is the most cheerful, smiley little boy – he’s always so happy and content.” Be sure to also take note of Louis’ attire. At one point during the photo session, his red sweater became covered in grass. Hey may be a prince and part of the British royal family, but that doesn’t make Louis any less of a child who just wants to play and doesn’t care about getting dirty in the process.
The first birthday portraits are the sweetest way to celebrate Louis turning a year old. Here’s hoping even more images are released for what will be Charlotte’s fourth birthday on May 2. If not, we can always just continue to admire the newest pictures of Louis that Kate beautifully photographed herself.
