Prince Harry’s wild days are long in his past. He’s a happily married man to Meghan Markle and they share two beautiful children, Prince Archie, 4, and Princess Lilibet, 2. However, one Hollywood celebrity’s legal issues may be dragging the Duke of Sussex into a mess — even though he’s not accused of any wrongdoing.

Sean “Diddy” Combs is knee-deep in sexual assault allegations from several people, along with a massive raid on his Miami and Los Angeles properties in a reported federal sex-trafficking investigation that occurred on Monday. One of the lawsuits brought by Combs’ former producers, Rodney Jones, casually drops Prince Harry’s name in the legal documents. It’s probably the last thing Harry wants to be associated with, especially with Prince Andrew’s long, sordid friendship with the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Jones, in court documents obtained by The Daily Beast, explained that “Mr. Combs was known for throwing the ‘best’ parties” — and that’s where Prince Harry’s name gets a mention. “Affiliation with, and or sponsorship of Mr. Combs’ sex-trafficking parties garnered legitimacy and access to celebrities such as famous athletes, political figures, artists, musicians, and international dignitaries like British royal, Prince Harry,” the documents read.

Weirdly, Harry is the only name singled out in the legal papers, especially when a particular 2007 photo shows that his older brother, Prince William, was also cozied up to Combs and Kanye West after the Concert for Diana event. Any photo archive search of Combs’ famous “White Party” over the years would show many recognizable A-list names in attendance. Prince Harry has zero allegations against him, so the mention in Jones’ papers seems unfair because some people will presume guilt by association.

What does seem to be clear is that during Harry’s partying days, he was a social acquaintance of Combs, who seemed eager to hang out with him in London. “I really can’t wait to get to the UK as London is one of my favorite cities,” he told The Sun, via the The Daily Beast, in 2012. “I’m also hoping I’ll get to catch up with Prince Harry while I’m there. He’s such a cool guy and it’s about time we hung out. I need him to take me to some of those wild Mayfair clubs!” While Prince Harry is taking some heat for the legal mention, everyone has to remember that the royal has done a lot of growing up in the last decade — and his partying days are far behind him.
