Though Prince Harry wasn’t able to reunite with his father and older brother while he was in London for the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, the Duke of Sussex did have a chance to catch up with some family members while he was across the pond.

According to Buzzfeed, the 39-year-old spare marked the formation of the Invictus Games Foundation (which he launched in 2014) at a service held at St. Paul’s Cathedral in London on May 8.

And while the duke’s father, King Charles, 75, and his older brother, Prince William, 41, were a no-show, members from the late Princess Diana’s side of the family came to the celebration to show their support.

One photo taken at the event shows the former Princess of Wales’s younger brother, Charles Spencer, and her older sister, Lady Jane Fellowes, walking outside of St. Paul’s Cathedral. For the special occasion, the 9th Earl Spencer, 59, sported a navy blue suit, a baby blue collared shirt and a white/purple polka dot tie. Lady Jane Fellowes, 67, rocked an oversized navy blue blazer with a vibrant floral dress.

Not only did Prince Harry receive support from his mother’s family, but he also received love from fellow royal fans across the pond. Another snapped photo shows the royal spare greeting well-wishers who lined up outside of the church to see him.

Earlier this week, Prince Harry spoke to People through a spokesman and shared why he wouldn’t be able to reunite with his dad while in London. FYI, King Charles, who is undergoing treatment for cancer, marked his return to work by visiting a cancer treatment center in London on April 30.

“In response to the many inquiries and continued speculation on whether or not The Duke will meet with his father while in the U.K. this week, it unfortunately will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full program,” the royal told the outlet.

At least the prince was able to squeeze in some family time.
