Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s appearance at the Royal Salute Polo Challenge last Friday in Miami, Florida showed off a new side to the Sussexes. Elegantly dressed in their crisp whites with chic sunglasses, the dynamic duo looked relaxed and happy. It was easy to see they were living their best lives amongst friends like Nacho Figueras and his wife, Delfina Blaquier, while raising money for charity. It sends the message to their critics that they are blossoming in the U.S.

With two new Netflix series on the horizon — a cooking show for Meghan and a polo show for Harry — along with the upcoming launch of American Riviera Orchard, things are falling nicely into place for the Sussexes. Royal experts are also taking notice of Harry and Meghan’s latest chapter as they are fully immersed in their renaissance. “The Sussexes were on dazzling form at the weekend,” royal historian Dr. Tessa Dunlop descriptively told the Mirror. “Hot Harry stole the show and his wife looked like the cat who got the cream. But the biggest winner is America.”

She even praised the Duchess of Sussex for helping Harry find his footing in his new home. “Thanks to Netflix, the Sussexes have squared the circle of raising money and making money all at the same time,” she noted. “Like it or not, Prince Haz has still got it. And if Meghan has anything to do with it, this is just the beginning.” Their success, though, comes at the most difficult time in the royal family with King Charles III and Kate Middleton battling cancer. Dunlop pointed out the stark contrast between the two realities right now.

“So yes, there was something a little bittersweet about the Sussexes’ sun-drench exploits this weekend. Just as our own beleaguered royals are forced to go to ground with a myriad of health problems, Harry and Meghan dazzle in untouchable designer whites, parading their exquisite pedigree Stateside,” she said. That doesn’t mean Harry and Meghan aren’t thinking about the royal family during this time, there is a reason the Duke of Sussex rushed to his father’s side after the cancer announcement was made — he wants to heal the family feud with him.

It hasn’t been an easy road for the Sussexes over the last few years after exiting their senior roles and moving three times before they landed in Montecito. It took time for them to feel grounded and find their roots, but the work that they’ve put in is finally bursting forth — yet it still feels tinged with sadness with the palace in crisis.
