We had our suspicions and they were apparently right on the mark — 7-month-old baby Archie is a turning into a “social butterfly.” Seeing Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s toddler charm Desmond Tutu and his daughter Thandeka Tutu-Gxashe during the Sussexes’ tour of Africa hinted at Archie’s people-person proclivities. And now, a source is saying that baby Archie’s Christmas holiday in Canada has really brought out the little royal’s social side.
Speaking to Us Weekly for the magazine’s new issue, a source revealed that the holiday has been good for the whole family… but especially for baby Archie. “Archie is Meghan and Harry’s world, and they can’t help [but spoil him],” an insider said. “For Christmas, they bought him books, building blocks, a baby ball pit. It’s not all about extravagant gifts for them.” In addition to presents, Archie received something far more valuable from his parents this holiday season: quality time with loved ones. And per the insider, the toddler ate it up.

“You can tell Archie’s going to be a confident social butterfly. He loves being entertained and interacting with new people,” said the source. “Some people get shy or nervous around new people, but not Archie. He’ll go to anyone without kicking up a fuss!”

It sounds as though Archie got plenty of opportunities to schmooze, too. A separate source told Us Weekly that, while on sabbatical, the Sussexes flew to Toronto to visit with Meghan’s best friend Jessica Mulroney and Vancouver to rendezvous with Meghan’s mom, Doria Ragland. And although Harry and Meghan have kept their Canadian vacation private, they have been spotted out and about in the local community — so, Archie has probably gotten the occasional opportunity to “flirt” with new faces as well.
The Sussex family is expected to return to London at the end of the week to resume their royal duties. And Harry and Meghan’s son will undoubtedly have plenty of royal family members ready and waiting to be charmed by the budding social butterfly.
