‘Price Is Right’ Contestant Achieves Rare Feat Playing Plinko

On The Price Is Right Tuesday, contestant Jayson pulled off a rare feat in one of America’s favorite games, Plinko. But before he did that, Jayson was extremely lucky just to get onstage. When bidding to get onstage and with the other bids being $1,000 or higher, Jayson bet $565, a seemingly random number at which host Drew Carey looked confused. The price of the items on which they were bidding was $580, leaving Jayson a cushion of just $15.

Jayson had four discs when he climbed the Plinko stairs to the top of the wall. He dropped the first disc, which landed in the $0 slot to the right of the $10,000 slot. Jayson dropped the second disc, which very nearly landed in the $0 slot on the other side of the $10,000 slot, then bounced into the $10,000 slot. After a brief freak-out, Jayson dropped the third disc, which didn’t even come close to any other slot before landing on the $10,000 slot. With the fourth disc, Jayson walked away from Plinko $20,500 richer.

Jayson’s luck would run out, though, when it came time to spin the wheel. His first spin was barely too strong, and he was just inches away from landing on the dollar. Then, in a spinoff, Jayson spun a 30. He still could have won, though, as the other contestant’s spin slowed to a crawl on the 5, but then it pushed to about an inch farther, landing her on the dollar.
