Pretty Little Liars Stars Preview 'Really Sexy, Very Bloody' Final 10 Episodes

Lest you think that Pretty Little Liars isn’t saving its biggest moments for last, know this: In the second half of the show’s seventh season, “someone dies in a very colorful way.”

Those words came from Ian Harding during TVLine’s most recent visit to the show’s set, where he alluded to a major death in the final 10 episodes — beginning Tuesday at 8/7c on Freeform — that he can’t get out of his head.

“In the past, the writers have written [visual] things that we know will never be shot,” Harding explained. “But that thing was shot. It’s there. It’s in it. It’s going to be really sexy and very bloody.”

Below, Harding and his co-stars offer more scoop from the show’s impending finale, including the “mind-blowing experience” that is the reveal of A.D.:

‘EZRIA’ | Now that Nicole is known to be alive, Ezra finds himself in a situation so messy that Harding admits, “I can’t even wrap my head around it. How does he deal with that? Even in the most diplomatic way, it’s bad.” Harding says the Aria-vs.-Nicole dilemma “comes to an interesting conclusion” after a couple of episodes, stressing that it’s “not a clean conclusion. I don’t know how he ever sleeps.” Harding jokes that he would tell Ezra to choose Nicole for one simple reason: “She’s Australian, so he’d get dual citizenship. [He needs to] get the hell out of Rosewood where everybody’s dying!”

‘HALEB’ | Now for some good news: “There isn’t too much drama between [Hanna and Caleb] for the rest of the show,” Tyler Blackburn assures us. “They’re each other’s rock, so there’s a lot going on around them, but they’re going to be there to help each other and their friends through it.” And before you start worrying that Hanna will continue down her current vengeful path, Ashley Benson says, “I don’t think she’s going to go too dark — though there could be moments.”

‘EMISON’ | Emily will be Alison’s main support system during her pregnancy, Shay Mitchell tells us, explaining that — at least for now — Emily’s doing it “because she’s a really good friend.” (Again… for now.) Meanwhile, Paige remains very much a part of Emily’s life, as those two “will always have something special” between them. Heck, even Sabrina is “still in the picture.” Concludes Mitchell, “It’s kind of a love triangle… or a love square?”

‘SPOBY’ | Both Toby and Spencer’s lives hang in the balance when the final 10 episodes begin, and while Keegan Allen’s lips are almost completely sealed, he does note that the mortal peril adds to the couple’s Romeo and Juliet feel. To be honest, Allen’s not really sure why Toby thought it was a good idea to try to leave Rosewood in the first place: “Anytime anybody wants to get out of town, they’re either maimed or killed,” he says.

Bonus Bites:

* When it comes to the big A.D. reveal, Allen says he “couldn’t sleep” the night he learned the truth. “[The final episode is] everything you want it to be. It’s a mind-blowing experience.” Adds Janel Parrish, “I was in silent shock for a good five minutes. It was not who I was expecting at all. We’re going to freak some people out.”

* Parrish is also amused by fans’ tweets about the chemistry between Mona and Caleb, but she assures us that it’s a “funny friendship” and nothing more. “These two have hated each other for so long, mostly because she’s been jealous of Caleb’s place in Hanna’s life,” Parrish explains. “But they’re discovering that not only do they work well together, but they kind of need each other.”

* Andrea Parker reveals that, in exploring Mary and Spencer’s new mother-daughter relationship, we’re going to learn that “[Mary] been stalking [Spencer] for quite some time.” [Insert evil laugh here.]
