Pregnant Nikki Bella Was Rushed to the Hospital Over Her Unborn Baby's 'Heart Scare'

While some aspects of this lockdown are undeniably boring, it sounds like Nikki Bella’s last few weeks have been anything but. The pregnant reality star just revealed that her unborn baby’s heart scare sent her and fiancé Artem Chigvintsev rushing to the hospital to get more tests done. Luckily, it appears that whatever complications were detected have been resolved — but needless to say, an unexpected hospital trip could not have been less welcome amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Nikki opened up on a recent episode of The Bellas Podcast, explaining that their panicked trip had been set off by a call from their doctor. “[Our doctors] thought they saw something in our baby’s heart,” Nikki told her sister. “We kind of had a heart scare! Artem and I had to drive to Los Angeles to get our baby double checked.”

After a frightening few hours, Nikki and Chigvintsev could breathe easy. “Everything came out great, which we were so blessed and happy about,” Nikki reassured her sister.

Both sisters have been proudly sharing their pregnancy progress on social media, comparing bump pics, third trimester symptoms, and more as they get closer and closer to their due date. While unexpected calls from the doctor are the last thing any pregnant woman wants, it’s fair to say that everyone’s health anxiety is at an all-time high right now, and we’re so relieved that Nikki didn’t have further complications.
