Pan-India star Prabhas was last seen making the audience go gaga over his performance in Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire. The movie came out to be a massive success as it earned millions at the box office. Now, all eyes are on the actor’s upcoming film Kalki 2898 AD. The star-studded sci-fi dystopian thriller is one of the most anticipated films of the year. It is set to hit the theaters in a few months and is expected to shatter box office records. However, the latest report has revealed that it might clash with Ram Pothineni’s Double iSmart.

Kalki 2898 AD is among the few big-budget movies of the year that viewers are eagerly looking forward to. It has been years since the film is in production, and viewers are eager to learn how it will unfold. Apart from Prabhas, the Nag Ashwin directorial has a long line-up of stars. Kalki 2898 AD is touted to be one of the most expensive Indian movies of all time.

Double iSmart makers are eyeing May release?

Double iSmart is Ram Pothineni’s most-awaited movie. The movie is allegedly being made on a hefty budget and will be released in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, and Kannada languages. While the film is officially scheduled for its release on March 8, 2024, several reports claim that it has been delayed. As per Track Tollywood, the makers of the movie are now eyeing Kalki 2898 AD’s release date. However, the report has mentioned that the makers will lock May 9 only if Kalki 2898 AD is postponed. Otherwise, they might release the film on May 23, 2024. However, no official announcement has been made yet.

The makers have been focused on the film for a long time now. Puri Jagannadh has written and directed the movie and has co-produced it with Charmme Kaur under the Puri Connects banner. The movie is the official sequel to the 2019 film iSmart Shankar.
