Power Book II: Ghost’s Davis MacLean Isn’t Messing Around in Exclusive Final Season Photos — Plus: A Girlfriends Alum Joins the Cast
Remember how smooth Method Man’s Davis MacLean was when Power Book II: Ghost first got underway? The ethically slippery lawyer had slick suits and a slicker attitude, gliding through life with devil-may-care flair.
Then he met Tariq St. Patrick. And, like has happened to so many others over the series’ run, his life suddenly got a lot more complicated.

And when the first half of Season 4 gets underway on Friday, June 7 (8/7c), June, we can report that MacLean will be a little more on edge than normal. At least, that’s what we’re gleaning from these exclusive photos from the the Starz drama’s final season.
In the picture at the top of this post, a wary, sweats-clad Davis points his gun at someone we can’t see. Things are decidedly less tense in the photo below, as he meets with Tariq (played by Michael Rainey Jr.) and Brayden (Gianni Paolo). No word yet on whether that potential disbarment that Davis is facing will come to pass.
Fans of the show will recall that Tariq ignored his mother’s and Tommy’s advice and essentially started a war at the end of Season 3. He approached Noma (Caroline Chikezie) about a business partnership but soon learned the hard way that she’d already teamed up with Effie and the Tejada kids.
In Season 4, per the official synopsis, “New alliances have been formed with each faction, Tariq and Brayden must find a way back into the game. But Brayden starts flirting with a new, reckless lifestyle, leaving Tariq to wonder if there really is room for two at the top.”
In addition, Golden Brooks (Girlfriends, The Good Doctor) will join the Season 4 cast in the recurring role of Janet Stewart, Monet’s cousin. See her photo below.
