Rapper Post Malone was forced to postpone his show at the TD Garden on Saturday night after the artist said he was hospitalized after experiencing “stabbing pain whenever I breathe or move.”

Malone, 27, accidentally fell into an open trap door during a show last weekend in St. Louis. It is unclear whether the injury from that fall is related to Saturday’s postponement, Rolling Stone reported. But in a social media post on Saturday, Malone said he would be unable to perform at TD Garden.

In a Twitter post on Saturday, Malone said that he woke up to cracking sounds in his ribs and that the right side of his body “felt so different than it has before.”

“I love y’all so much. I feel terrible, but I promise I’m going to make this up to you. I love you Boston, I’ll see you soon,” Malone said in his tweet.

TD Garden also tweeted about the show, writing in a statement that the show was “being postponed due to unforeseen circumstances.” Fans were advised to retain their tickets in anticipation of a rescheduled date.

Malone’s next scheduled show is in Cleveland on Tuesday, according to his website. It is unclear whether future concert dates will be affected by Malone’s hospitalization.
