Oscar-winning soul star John Legend, rock diva Alanis Morissette and country artists Kacey Musgraves and Kane Brown are among the performers set to appear on "Christmas at Graceland," a special program scheduled to air live Nov. 29 on NBC.

Hip-hop performer Post Malone, singer-songwriter Lana Del Rey, country vocalist Lainey Wilson and music duo The War and Treaty round out the list of artists slated for the special, according to a press release issued Wednesday afternoon by NBC, under a headline promising "Music's Biggest Artists."

"The industry’s top artists will offer viewers an intimate look inside Graceland and convey how Elvis inspired them through his love of Christmas, music and song," the press release states. "Through these spectacular performances, viewers will be invited to witness firsthand the legacy and spirit of this treasured family home."

Set to air at 9 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29, the program comes 55 years after NBC boosted Elvis' career when it broadcast the so-called "'68 Comeback Special" on Dec. 3, 1968. A ratings blockbuster, the show actually was titled "Singer Presents... Elvis," with the program's sponsor, the Singer sewing machine company, sharing top billing with the King of Rock 'n' Roll.

The 1968 special inspired NBC's other recent Elvis event, a 2019 special titled "Elvis All-Star Tribute" that also featured Legend and Post Malone. Morissette, meanwhile, was among the musical friends of the late Lisa Marie Presley who performed during the Jan. 22 memorial service for Elvis' daughter.

The new Graceland special has an enviable position on the NBC schedule. It is set to follow this year's edition of "Christmas at Rockefeller Center," a popular live event that NBC has carried annually since 1997. The special will be simulcast on NBC and the network-affiliated Peacock streaming service.

"Christmas at Graceland" will bring "a star-studded array of music's most in-demand performers" to Memphis, according to NBC. However, the network has not divulged many details about the program, so it's uncertain whether the show will follow a "concert" format or consist largely of performance segments shot in different areas of the mansion and estate.

Among the special's executive producers is Graceland heir and Elvis granddaughter Riley Keough, who will make appearances during the show.

The daughter of Lisa Marie Presley, Keough, 34, is an actor and director. She received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress for her role in the streaming series "Daisy Jones & the Six," and she has acted in acclaimed and provocative films under the direction of such international auteurs as Australia's George Miller, England's Andrea Arnold and Denmark's Lars von Trier.

Keough is producing in partnership with Gina Gammell through her Felix Culpa production company. Other companies producing the show include Done + Dusted and Authentic Studios. Elvis Presley Enterprises majority owner Joel Weinshanker also is an executive producer.
