Post Malone thanked his fans for “sticking by him” and gave a shout out to his newborn daughter Saturday at an exclusive Formula 1 party in Austin.

The singer hit the stage at the Bootsy Bellows and Sports Illustrated “Circuit Series After Party” held at the Austin American-Statesman. Presented by Cash App and Visa and produced by Uncommon Entertainment and L.A. nightlife impresarios The h.wood Group, the party helped to ring in F1 weekend in the city, with thousands of racing fans descending into town for the U.S. Grand Prix.

The two-night party featured headliners Kid Laroi and Zedd on Friday night, and Malone and DJ Zack Bia on Saturday. Malone showed no sign of the ankle injury he suffered last week as he took the stage shortly after 1:30am with a half-hour set that included hits like “Congratulations,” “Better Now” and his latest single, “I Like You (A Happier Song).”

“I’m feeling great and so happy to be here,” Malone told the crowd, adding that he was excited to perform in a more intimate setting in the midst of his “Twelve Carat Tour.”

In between songs, the singer thanked the crowd for sticking by him over the last eight years, and said he was “so fucking grateful” to be back on stage again after two years of a global pandemic. Malone also shouted out his newborn daughter, saying “I’m 27 years old and I just had a beautiful baby girl and I want to thank you all for your support” (the singer revealed in June that he had welcomed a daughter with his fiance).

Malone’s Bootsy Bellows appearance was just one of a number of events tied to the Austin Formula 1 event. Over at the W Hotel, the Williams Racing team brought DJ Cassidy to Austin for a live “Pass the Mic” concert, that featured Robin Thicke, Shaggy and Wyclef Jean.

In front of guests like Scott Eastwood and Chloe Grace Moretz, Cassidy spun hits ranging from Nineties hip-hop to dancefloor remixes of Oasis and Nirvana. He then brought out Shaggy, who performed his hits “Boombastic,” “Angel,” and “It Wasn’t Me,” before passing the mic to Thicke.

The Masked Singer judge belted out classics like “Blurred Lines” and “Lost Without You” before performing his new release, “Brown Liquor” featuring Yo Gotti.

Wyclef took the stage last and performed a medley of his biggest hits and collaborations, including “Gone Till November,” “Hips Don’t Lie” and even pulling out a guitar to play the famous guitar lick from Santana’s “Maria Maria” (a song that Wyclef wrote and produced).

At the end of the event, he was joined on stage by Shaggy and Thicke, as the trio joined forces on “No Woman, No Cry” (Cassidy dutifully played hype man in the back).

And then there was Patron, who took over Soho House Austin with their “PATRÓN Pit Stop” activation, which included a daytime cocktail tasting and pool party with Vanderpump Rules stars Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz, and live band karaoke at night, with appearances from brand ambassadors Becky G, and Mexican F1 star Sergio “Checo” Perez (Becky G took to the mic to briefly chat with Perez but didn’t perform).

Perez wasn’t drinking on the night — he had a race to qualify for after all — but he did say he was looking forward to being back in Mexico for the Mexican Grand Prix this week, to enjoy some family time — and tequila time — with his loved ones.

Perez just missed the podium in Austin, finishing in fourth place, though his Red Bull team did claim the 2022 Constructors’ Championship title with teammate Max Verstappen’s win.
