Portola Festival announces headliners despite last year’s noise complaints

(KRON) – It’s festival season, and the Portola Festival is back by popular demand — at least by festival goers. The Portola Festival has announced its line-up for this year’s event on Tuesday.

In Oct. 2023, the City of Alameda requested the Portola Music Festival be either discontinued or moved to a different venue farther away. Pier 80 is approximately five miles across the San Francisco Bay from residential neighborhoods in Alameda.

Childish Gambino brings global tour to San Francisco 

Last week, Portola Festival posted a sonogram on Instagram and captioned the post “We’re Expecting!! Baby #3 dropping soon.”

On the first day of the festival, headliners include Rufus du Sol, Jamie XX, electronic musician Four Tet, singer and songwriter Jessie Ware and many more. For the second day, DJ Pee .Wee, also known as Anderson .Paak, music producer A.G. Cook, singer/songwriter Empress Of and DJ, producer, and electronic musician Honey Dijon Disclosure and more are set to take the stage.

The festival will be held at Pier 80 in San Francisco on Saturday, Sept. 28 and Sunday, Sept. 29.

Tickets will be available at noon Friday on Portola Music Festival’s website.
