A recent Ocean Center performance by Katt Williams aside, it seems that marquee stand-up comedians don’t venture into our neck of the woods too often.

So it’s pretty cool that a genuine “Saturday Night Live” alum, Jim Breuer, is headlining a show on Saturday at The Center At Deltona in West Volusia County. A portion of proceeds from the event will benefit No Longer Fatherless, a Port Orange nonprofit organization dedicated to mentoring, equipping and empowering fatherless boys to become successful men.

Breuer was an SNL cast member from 1995-1998, best known for his much beloved “Goat Boy” character and Joe Pesci impression. That led to regular appearances on “The Howard Stern Show” and an assortment of assorted TV projects. Meanwhile, he has continued to tour as a stand-up.

In 2021, Breuer also received some attention for canceling shows at venues that required COVID-19 vaccination in New Jersey and Michigan, stating that he wouldn’t perform at halls that had such requirements.

Show time is 8 p.m. Saturday, with doors opening at 6 p.m. at The Center, 1640 Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd., Deltona. Tickets range from $65-$85 at eventbrite.com.
