Porsha Williams Guobadia — who now goes by her married name — is set to return to The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

Bravo made the formal announcement on Tuesday (Feb. 13) in the first cast announcement for the show’s rebooted 16th season.

“I’m incredibly thankful for the vision and faith NBCUniversal has put in me to be a larger part of their family,” said the mother of one in a statement. “I’m looking forward to being back on ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta,’ and showing the world my new world!”

Rachel Smith, executive vice president of unscripted content, lifestyle and documentaries, NBCUniversal Entertainment, added, “Porsha Williams Guobadia is a multi-hyphenate and we are fortunate to collaborate and tap into her creativity and passion through this partnership. Our audience has supported and admired Porsha as she so authentically, hilariously and vulnerably shared her life over the years and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome her back to the NBCU family.”

Along with her comeback, Williams Guobadia will also scored an overall deal for “scripted project opportunities” across NBCUniversal Entertainment. She is the first cast member to be confirmed for the new season, which will feature a combination of new and returning cast members.

The 42-year-old was a favorite among fans during her run from season 5 through season 13. She left the show in September 2021. This was before she married Simon Guobadia and revealed she wanted to spend most of her time with her daughter, Pilar.

“With me in the past dealing with mental health, I knew that I needed to be as healthy mentally as I could be. No drama, etc. Just in a happy peaceful place for my baby girl,” she explained to Variety.

Despite her departure, she never confirmed that the exit was final.

However, one cast member’s is. At the 2024 Grammys, veteran RHOA cast member Kandi Burruss revealed that she would not be returning to the show. She told Variety, “It’s been 14 seasons, and they allowed us to sit around for a little too long, but during that time I had started working on a lot of other things, and I got some nice big projects coming soon, so I’m super excited about those things.”
