Porsha Williams’ Daughter Goes to School with Another Bravo Kid: Go Inside Her First Day

After a summer filled with pool days, beach trips, and an epic first time down a “big girl slide,” Porsha Williams’ daughter, Pilar Jhena “PJ” McKinley, is starting a new chapter.

Porsha’s only child, whom she shares with ex Dennis McKinley, just went back to school, and she’s officially classmates with another kid whose mom you may recognize from The Real Housewives of Atlanta. 

PJ McKinley’s First Day of School

The 4-year-old began a new school year on August 16, and Porsha chronicled the day with a video she shared on Instagram.

“First day of school,” PJ shouted at the beginning of the video.

PJ wore a white-and-purple floral dress for the milestone occasion, while Porsha had on a neon yellow top and a floor-length black skirt. PJ posed in front of her classroom door in part of the video, and she and Porsha played with animal toys on the floor in another moment from the clip.

“Yay 1st Day Of School was a total success!!” Porsha captioned her post. “We are so proud of our little munchkin[.] Goo Pilar Gooo.”

Porsha Williams and Dennis McKinley Reunite

Dennis shared the same video on his Instagram feed. He was there alongside Porsha when PJ went back to school.

In the caption of his post, Dennis wrote, “First day of school,” along with a crying emoji and a red heart emoji. He also added the hashtag “Girl Dad.”

During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in June 2023, Porsha revealed that her co-parenting relationship with Dennis was going “great” because the exes “live near each other.”

Though some kids worry about making friends when they start a new school year, PJ already has a bestie in her class.

Porsha Williams Posts a Sweet Photo of Meeting Shamea Morton’s Baby

RHOA’s Shamea Morton’s eldest daughter, Shya Nyambura Mwangi, is in the same class as PJ. Shya and Shamea popped up in Porsha’s Instagram video, and Shamea shared a post of her own about the school day on her Instagram page.

“[Shya’s] so happy that her bestie [PJ] now goes to her school. She had an ear full [sic] to tell me when I picked her up,” Porsha’s longtime best friend wrote in her post’s caption. “[Porsha,] they are too much.”

With Shya and PJ in the same class, it looks like Shamea and Porsha will be spending even more time together throughout the school year.
