Porn Co. Defends Iggy Azalea in Nude Photo Leak Scandal: It’s a ‘Violation of Iggy’s Rights’
One of the biggest porn companies is defending Iggy Azalea‘s right to choose when (and if) her nude photos ever appear online and they have even reached out to her to help with the issue.
A rep for xHamster tells The Blast that searches for Azalea have spiked on xHamster since the photos leaked from a 2016 GQ shoot. The photos have not appeared on the site but they say they “will vigilantly patrol user uploads to make sure that the photos do not appear on xHamster.”
Alex Hawkins, Vice President of xHamster, tells The Blast, “While there’s nothing shameful about nudity, non-consensual photography or video is a violation of Iggy’s rights. As we have done in the past in similar cases, we will increase our patrol of Iggy and relevant keywords, and are asking our community to alert us should they spot the photos.”
The rep adds that they have “reached out to Iggy Azalea’s management team to find ways to collaborate on Iggy’s defense, including blocking her as a search term.”
As we reported, photos outtakes from a GQ magazine photoshoot back in 2016 leaked on Twitter over the weekend. Before deleting her social media, Azalea spoke out on her feelings following the leak.
She wrote, “Today I’m a ball of negative emotions. I feel blindsided, embarrassed, violated, angry, sad and a million other things. Not solely because I did not consent to this — but also because of the vile way people have reacted.”
Iggy has also vowed to take legal action against whoever leaked the photos.
