Popeyes Is Celebrating Valentine’s Day with Heart-Shaped Strawberry Biscuits

The fast food chain is offering the festive treats for a limited time

Popeyes is showing some heart this Valentine’s Day.

The fast food chain announced they’ll be offering limited-edition, heart-shaped strawberry biscuits for three weeks this month. The special holiday item puts a fruity spin on the fried chicken restaurant’s signature buttery biscuits by adding strawberry bits and a drizzle of with creamy icing.

For every heart-shaped biscuit purchased, Popeyes will direct $1 to the Popeyes Foundation’s Serving with Love initiative, which supports national and local nonprofits that provide food to people in need.

The biscuits will be available starting at $1.79 each from Feb. 5 to Feb. 25, while supplies last (price varies by location). If the heart-shaped biscuits sell out at a restaurant, regular strawberry biscuits will count toward the fundraising campaign.

Popeyes introduced heart-shaped biscuits in honor of another special occasion — National Buttermilk Biscuit Day — in May 2019. And last spring, the brand’s regular-shaped strawberry biscuits made their debut.

Popeyes isn’t the only food chain getting into the Valentine’s Day spirit.

On Monday, Krispy Kreme introduced the Dough-Notes collection, four new heart-shaped donuts that are available from Jan. 29 through Valentine’s Day.

The red sprinkled donut, “You Color My World,” is filled with cake batter Kreme filling, and the pink, sugar-covered “You’re Berry Sweet” donut is filled with classic white filling and dipped in strawberry icing and sprinkles.

The chocolate-filled and chocolate-iced “I Love You A Choco-Lot” donut comes with a rose piped on top. And the “Without You I’d Crumble” donut comes with cookie dough Kreme filling, and is topped with chocolate icing and chocolate chip cookie crumble.

White Castle recently announced that they’ll be bringing back their reservation-only Valentine’s Day Dinner. On Feb. 14, the fast food restaurant will transform into a sit-down “fine-dining establishment.”
