Pooh and Piglet Won’t Forgive Christopher Robin in Trailer for Blood and Honey: Watch

Christopher Robin abandoned Pooh and Piglet and now copyright protections aren’t the only thing set to fall in the first trailer for Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey.

One of the the first projects to take advantage of Pooh Bear’s rumbly-tum-tumble into the public domain, Blood and Honey extends A.A. Milne’s egalitarian ethos into the realm of horror. Because an axe, like a hug, is always the right size.

The trailer opens with our old pal Christopher Robin taking his new flame to his childhood haunt. “You know, you’re the first person I’ve ever shown this place to.” She asks, “Why am I so special?” and he responds, “Because soon we’ll be Christopher and Marie Robin.” That is, if they live that long.

And while the passage of time is as hard to pin down as Eeyeore’s tail, a group of young women soon happen upon a nearby lodging, excited to lie in a pool — of water, preferably, though as it turns out, their own blood is also an option.

Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey is written and directed by Rhys Frake-Waterfield and stars Amber Doig-Thorne, Maria Taylor, and Danielle Scott. The film is “coming soon,” and you can check out the trailer below.
