Polo G is reportedly suing a European tour booking firm for allegedly using his likeness to promote a string of shows. The rapper claims that the company continued to advertise said shows even after they were cancelled.

The formal complaint, filed Monday (Nov. 27) in New York federal court, deems the situation a “shocking and outrageous fraud.” The suit accuses Netherlands-based J. Noah B.V. of violating his intellectual property rights, alleging he “lied to the public” by continuing to promote shows “they knew would not occur.”

“Bartlett’s counsel demanded that defendants immediately remove all uses of Bartlett’s client’s name and image from the website, from Instagram, and from all other social media channels,” Polo G’s lawyers wrote in a statement. “Inexcusably, defendants failed to do so, and ignored this demand entirely.”

Polo G’s lawyers also say J. Noah has “wrongly” accused the rapper of breaching a contract agreement for 10 concerts. The 24-year-old rapper claims that J. Noah is the one who breached the deal by failing to pay his full $495,000 in fees as required under the contract.

Since then, he has dropped off one single in 2023, “Barely Holdin’ On,” and dished out guest features on “Heartbroken” by Diplo and “Off the Court” by SleazyWorld Go.

This past August, Polo G shared an update about his next release. During a 24-hour live stream for his fans, he revealed that HOOD POET was set to arrive in the fall. The project has since been delayed and no follow-up was given.
