Police Officer Stabbed By Woman At Atlanta International Airport
Three individuals -- including a police officer -- were stabbed this afternoon at Atlanta International Airport by a woman wielding a knife.
The incident occurred at a domestic terminal inside Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

A woman, who was armed with a knife, was tackled and arrested on Wednesday afternoon after she stabbed three people, including a police officer, at the south terminal of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
According to reports, the call came in at around 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday, reporting that a woman was outside the security checkpoint. The woman, who had a knife, stabbed a man before officers were able to confront her.
Atlanta Airport's official X account reported an update on the incident, sharing "🚨 An incident in ATL’s domestic terminal this afternoon is being cleared. Impacts to operations are minimal. There is no threat to the public."

Police say officers then began talking with the woman, attempting to disarm her by talking to her calmly. That did not work, and so the officers continued to attempt to coax her into dropping the knife as quickly surrounded her and attempted to detain her.
The woman then proceeded to attack another woman and an APD lieutenant, stabbing them.

A female bystander shared an update from the Atlanta Airport, showing passengers sitting on the floor, waiting for the situation to be controlled.
Police Disarm Woman, Take Her To Airport Precinct
Luckily, the woman with the knife was eventually detained disarmed, and taken to the airport precinct.
All three victims were speaking with medics as they were rushed to an area hospital. FOX 5 reports that police sources say the lieutenant was stabbed in the thigh and struck an artery. The third victim was an airport ticket clerk who was poked by the blade.
At this time, police are still investigating what led her to stab three people.
