Police launch murder probe after man's body found in abandoned bank
Police have launched a murder investigation after a body was found hidden inside a former bank.
The body, believed to be that of a man, was found after police carried out a raid at the former Yorkshire Bank premises in Commercial Street, Batley, West Yorkshire, on Sunday.
Images shared on social media show the street cordoned off as officers started investigations into the gruesome discovery.
In a statement, West Yorkshire Police said three people had been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder.

The force said: “Police have launched a murder investigation after a body was found in Batley.
“The body, which is believed to be that of a man, was found inside the former bank premises in Commercial Street on Sunday, after officers forced entry to the building.

“Enquiries are continuing to confirm the identity of the deceased and the circumstances around the death. A scene remains in place at the location.
“Three people have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder. Two have been released under investigation while the third has been bailed.”
Some reports said the body was found in a wall inside the building, but a police spokeswoman said they could not comment.
