Tuesday's episode of America's Got Talent was a little nostalgic, when actor and self-described "voicetrumentalist" Michael Winslow, who is best known for his role as Larvell Jones in all seven Police Academy films, stepped onto the stage.

Winslow, who is now 62 years old, explained that he had scaled back his career and stopped making movies in order to focus on his children after his wife died in 1993. But now that his kids are all grown up, he's ready for a new phase in his life. And rather than being "The Man of 10,000 Sound Effects," he claims to now have a repertoire of hundreds of thousands of FX.

"Now, after raising my two kids, I'm in a different phase, and I think this is my time. And America's Got Talent is the place for me to show everyone I still have something to offer," said Winslow.

Fans of the hit 80's movie franchise were totally geeking out over Winslow's appearance on AGT Tuesday, and took to social media to welcome him back. One person tweeted: "Michael Winslow is a powerhouse. His #PoliceAcademy stuff is legend. He is full of charisma. So much energy! Get ready, America. This will be a treat!" (@OKCStormWatcher)

Winslow's audition earned a standing ovation and four "gigantic yeses" from the judges. And, after seeing the reaction to his performance Tuesday night, the former Police Academy star is sure to impress this season.
