'Plus One' trailer: Maya Erskine and Jack Quaid double down on weddings (exclusive)

Warning: Trailer contains some NSFW language.

Wedding season is coming: Do you have your plus one lined up?

You could always take a tip from Plus One, the buzzed-about indie rom-com that won the Audience Award for Best Narrative Feature at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival (watch exclusive trailer above).

PEN15 breakout Maya Erskine and Jack Quaid (The Hunger Games, Logan Lucky) play platonic buddies who make a pact to be each other's guest as all their fellow twenty- and thirtysomething friends and family tie the knot.

Will they become a couple themselves? Movie history would tell us yes, but one of the best things about this trailer is it doesn't really give any indication that their romance is a certainty. We do know: there could be some "tickle scratching" involved.

Written and directed by Jeff Chan and Andrew Rhymer, Plus One also stars Ed Begley Jr., Beck Bennett, Rosalind Chao, Brianne Howey, Jon Bass, and Finn Wittrock.

Plus One hits theaters, VOD and Digital June 14. Check out the exclusive poster:
