‘Playing House’ Duo Knows How You Should Celebrate New Year’s

The holidays: A time for friends, family, and finally watching USA’s Playing House, because it’s one of TV’s funniest and most heartfelt comedies and it’s returning for a third season in 2017. To get you in the mood to binge Seasons 1 and 2 online or on demand, creators/stars/best friends Jessica St. Clair (Emma) and Lennon Parham (Maggie) filmed the message above.

Season 3 will begin filming early next year. “I will just say that we’re gonna be taking that laughing/crying ratio to the next level in Season 3. It’s gonna be a wild ride,” St. Clair told Yahoo TV last fall. “Without saying too much, Maggie and Emma go through a really terrifying time in one of their lives. They couldn’t get through it without each other. Lennon and I together went through something last year that was so intense, and I will say confidently that I could not have made it through it without my best friend, Lennon. That’s the story we’re writing for Maggie and Emma this year. This is now life or death.”

The friends will continue to raise Maggie’s daughter, Charlotte, together while Maggie advances her nursing career. And, yes, the fate of Emma’s relationship with Mark (Keegan-Michael Key) should finally be revealed. “If what you’re asking is whether or not we’re gonna see more of Keegan’s body, the answer is yes,” St. Clair said. “You’re welcome, America, in advance.”

Seasons 1 and 2 of Playing House are now available online or on demand.
