Playboi Carti had a second arrest in 2022 that the world just learned about. Footage surfaced this week which revealed the Whole Lotta Red rapper was caught speeding, clocking in at 130 MPH.

The footage was uploaded to the YouTube channel titled Raq Rarest on Tuesday (Jan. 9). The 50-minute video shows Carti being pulled over by the police and their ensuing conversation. The police officer orders the Atlanta enigma to turn off the car’s engine and place his hands on the window. When asked why he was driving 130 MPH in a 55 MPH zone, Carti replies “I’m rushing because I had an emergency.”

The officer sternly replies “Bro, you were driving 133 miles per hour in a 55 mile per hour zone.” The 27-year-old rapper continues to plead his case, saying “It was an emergency. I got stuff going on with my family. I live in Buckhead, I’m trying to get somewhere.” The officer did not go for the reasoning and told Carti to exit his vehicle before putting him under arrest. Check out the video below.

As stated, this is the world’s first time learning about this arrest for Playboi Carti. His sole known arrest before this footage surfaced online came three months later after an altercation with his pregnant girlfriend at the time. Carti had allegedly choked the woman during an argument and pushed her into bushes. The woman also claims that two men who worked for him just stood there and watched.

“Mr. Carter was falsely accused,” his attorney wrote in a statement. “Pursuant to my communications with the Fulton County District Attorney‘s Office, this case will be dismissed without any prosecution or litigation.”

Carti has been gearing fans up for new music set to release this year. In December, he shared the track “2024” with an accompanying music video. This month, he shared “Backr00ms” featuring Travis Scott. Check out its video below.
