A small plane crashed into a car in Texas on Saturday after overshooting a runway while making an emergency landing, authorities said.A small plane overshot a Texas runway during an emergency landing on Saturday and crashed into a car, leaving one person hospitalized, authorities said.
The McKinney Fire Department said that the department responded to an Alert 3 call for the plane crash at 12:30 p.m. local time, according to a release obtained by PEOPLE
The plane was trying to make an emergency landing at Aero Country Airport when authorities said the pilot "was unable to stop at the end of the runway" and plowed through a fence and onto Eastbound Virginia Parkway.
It then collided with a car passing by, according to the department. Three patients were evaluated at the scene: two were on the plane and one was in the car.

One person was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
Jack Schneider, who was working nearby, recorded the crash on his phone and told ABC affiliate WFAA that he knew the plane "wasn’t gonna have time to stop."
"It was clearly going too fast, the tires were smoking," he added, saying he "could tell something was about to happen."

Carson Raper, a 13-year-old who lives near the airport, told NBC affiliate KXAS that he was filming planes taking off and landing at the airport while standing on the sidewalk when the small plane suddenly crashed through the fence toward him.
"I wouldn't be here, like that plane would have just plowed straight through it would have gone on the sidewalk," he added.
The pilot told witnesses that it was his first time landing at the runway, and the plane's reverse thrust, which slows the plane down, wasn’t working, per WFAA.
The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating, according to the department.
