After four months in soft-opening mode, the new Pitchfork restaurant at Corner Provisions is now serving its full menu.

The restaurant at 1070 Ghent Road, which had been expected to fully open in March, saw delays with the arrival of a custom hood for the kitchen.

3 years of planning: Farmer's Rail shares details on restaurant, wine bar, more at Corner Provisions in Bath

Beginning in early March, Pitchfork offered a raw seafood bar and charcuterie bar along with wines from Eden wine bar, which features 36 wines on tap. The restaurant also offered salads and some sandwiches before introducing The Farmer's Rail hamburgers and more.

Pitchfork, owned by Jeff and Mel Brunty and partner Dave McIlvaine, also co-owners of The Farmer's Rail in Bath, Cuyahoga Falls and Hudson, is the partners' first stand-alone restaurant. It features steaks, burgers and pork chops from The Farmer's Rail Artisanal Meats and Butcher Shop, grilled over an open fire.

A choice of four steaks ranges from the 6-ounce prime filet for $40 to the $138 Brunty Farms Prime Bife de Chorizo, a sirloin strip steak. An Ohio-raised, double-cut, bone-in pork chop also is offered for $38.

Executive chef Mary Clarke Morris is the woman behind the globally inspired menu at Pitchfork. Entrees include Garam masala half chicken with minted yogurt, radish, Spanish peanut and grilled naan ($38); halibut with sweet cucumber pico, ginger, sesame sauce and chilled rice noodles ($45); jerk salmon with Faroe Island salmon, savoy slaw and fried plantains ($39); and pappardelle bourguignon, featuring Ohio City Pasta pappardelle, prime filet, savory wild mushrooms, red wine and brandy, and bacon ($38).

Clarke Morris, introduced on Pitchfork's social media earlier this month, said she was the youngest of eight kids whose family hosted an exchange student from a different country nearly every year, which allowed her to learn about their cultures. She also grew up traveling with her parents to many fine dining restaurants.

Pitchfork hours are 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday, closed on Sunday. Indoor and outdoor dining are offered. For reservations, see the link at visitcornerprovisions.com/pitchfork.
