'Pitch Perfect 2' Star Teaches Conan Dirty German Phrases
On Thursday, Flula Borg taught Conan O'Brien some interesting German phrases. The DJ, YouTube personality, and Pitch Perfect 2 star took it upon himself to break down some German idioms.
Borg explained the term for when you meet a person “and you say, "Ooh, I don’t like you. You smell like an old shepherd’s pie.” It turned about to be a combination of a word for someone’s rear and a musical instrument. He described another: “In Germany if a lady is rude with serving the coffee you say she’s not having a not good day. But sometimes I go to Connecticut. And someone is smiley and pouring the drinks. But it’s not real.” He called that “s*** friendly.”
O'Brien was so delighted by Borg’s phrases that he hoped to travel to Germany with him. Borg enthusiastically replied, “I will join you. And you will join me. It will be like a three-legged sack race. But with no sack and it’s not a race. We will take our time.”
Conan airs weeknights at 11 p.m. on TBS.
