Each week on “The Pit Stop,” Trixie Mattel recaps the latest episode of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” season 16 alongside a guest host. Following Friday’s premiere episode, newly crowned “All Stars 8” champion Jimbo stops by for her first ever appearance on the recap series to share her light and humor with Trixie, as well as some honest opinions about the newest additions to the franchise. Watch the full episode above via the official RuPaul’s Drag Race channel on YouTube.

In their recap of the episode, Trixie and Jimbo took a deep dive into Jimbo’s own experiences on her three runs of the series before taking home her own $200,000 prize before swapping reactions to the entrances of the new crop of American hopefuls. Based on their reactions, favorite first impressions went to Q, Sapphira Cristál and Dawn who Trixie had “no notes” for while they seemed most underwhelmed by Xunami Muse. Jimbo appreciated the energy of Dawn and Morphine Love Dion during the front porch photo shoot mini challenge.

The twists of bringing immunity back and introducing the Rate-A-Queen are new to both Trixie and Jimbo and they fully support the idea of adding a “new dimension” to the competition for the new queens. In the talent show, Jimbo thought that Q was a clear stand out as a puppet ballerina and Trixie gave flowers to Mirage for the heel clacking and Sapphira for her blending of opera with comedy. Once again, Xunami was on the “struggle bus” compared to her competition even though they think that she’ll be strong on the runway and in future lip syncs. Amanda Tori Meating finally caught their attention with her runway walk–both the wig slip and the reveal to a “grape Smuckers all over the face” makeup job–to a point where they see it as so bad, it’s good.
