Each week on “The Pit Stop,” Trixie Mattel recaps the latest episode of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” season 16 alongside a guest host. Following Friday’s fourth episode, Trixie’s friend from Chicago and the quickest makeup artist in series her story Kahmora Hall stopped by to dish the ish. Watch the full episode above via the official RuPaul’s Drag Race channel on YouTube.

In their recap of the episode, Kahmora spoke about her experience being the first queen to leave on her season and as a guest on the recap series was able to use that to inform her lens on how the queens are approaching the competition from this early in the season. When it came to this live, one-take challenge both Kahmora and Trixie think that the pressure of only having one take actually is a benefit for the queens because they have no opportunity to get in their head with their inner saboteur. Kahmora thought Q stood out as the brick and Plasma taking ownership over the Barbra character, and then agreed that Geneva Karr and Mirage were the two struggle buses of the challenge. Trixie specifically thought Geneva’s interpretation of Lindsey Graham was confusing.

As a Bob Mackie gown collector (she says she has 28 vintage dresses of her own), Kahmora was also the perfect guest to help critique how the queens presented in their best Cher get-ups. Overall, both Trixie and Kahmora thought that even the bad looks on the runway this week weren’t that bad, and see the good looks as incredibly good. Kahmora pointed out that Cher’s Met Gala look is attempted by queens often and Plane Jane is one of the few who perfectly executed it, even if her hair was “a little Morticia and not Cher.” The look they didn’t like was from Mhi’ya Iman Le’Paige.
