‘Pit Bulls & Parolees': Watch a Man’s Family Be United With the Dog He Helped Rescue Before His Death (Exclusive Video)

“Pit Bulls & Parolees” will fulfill a man’s dying wish this week, giving a dog named Sweet Tart a new home with the man’s brother and his family on Saturday’s episode.

Mutt, one of the team members at Villalobos Rescue Center, fell in love with Sweet Tart and had intended for his brother to adopt her before his death due to brain cancer. After Mutt passed, the Villalobos team made sure they carried out his wishes of uniting Sweet Tart, who previously suffered from cancer herself, with Mutt’s brother and his family.

“She’s a miracle,” the rescue worker tells Mutt’s family in a clip from the episode, above. “She should not be here today, [but] she’s doing fantastic.”

The episode of “Pit Bulls & Parolees” is set to air Saturday, November 30 at 9 p.m. on Animal Planet. It will air as part of the network’s annual “Watch and Give” tradition, where the Animal Planet donates a dollar amount to Villalobos equivalent to the episode’s total number of viewers, up to $50,000.

The donations go toward covering veterinary bills as well as food and shelter needs for their rescued pit bulls.

“Pit Bulls & Parolees” is currently in its 10th season.
