The British pop star released her latest single on Friday

PinkPantheress’ music is full of incredible Y2K nostalgia, and her latest music video will make you want to rewatch one of your favorite 2000s teen movies.

The up-and-coming pop star, 22, shared her latest single, “Mosquito,” on Friday. It’s a charming pop-R&B song with a dizzying beat, and it has an adorable music video to match.

The British singer appears in the video, along with several other rising stars, including grown-ish's Yara Shahidi, Bridgerton’s Charithra Chandran and India Amarteifio of Queen Charlotte fame. Although she’s pining on the track, the bedroom pop artist is simply enjoying herself with her girlfriends in the video — treating themselves at luxury stores in London, like it’s a shopping spree scene out of a beloved rom-com.

At one point, there’s even a sweet nod to Breakfast at Tiffany’s, as the singer-songwriter wanders through the regal Bond Street shops while wearing a Tiffany blue gown and savoring a pastry.

The “Boy’s a Liar” singer celebrated the release by sharing a clip on Instagram and shouting out her producer and video director in the caption.

“omg i’m so scared but Mosquito is finally out! with a whole music video on youtube now! 🥰” the singer whose real name is Vicky Beverly Walker wrote. “was trying to give breakfast at tiffany’s lol but a big thank you is in order to Greg Kurstin who was the catalyst for this track and Sophie Muller who directed this amazing video with my darling angel girlfriendsxxxx.”

Her music video co-stars also shared on social media how excited they were to appear in the “Mosquito” visual.

Shahidi, 23, posted several behind-the-scenes photos of her hanging out on set on Instagram, including a shot of her and PinkPantheress smiling while throwing up peace signs and a selfie with all four stars. “THE DAY THAT I WANT 💕🦟 TY @pinkpantheress for a day with the girlies 🦟 MOSQUITO MUSIC VIDEO OUT NOW 🫶🏽,” she wrote in the caption.

Amarteifio, 22, also shared a fun carousel of the actresses and pop artist hanging out on set. In a second post featuring the music video, she wrote it was a “wicked shoot” and lauded PinkPantheress “for creating possibly the most catchy tune in the world.”

Meanwhile, Chandran, 26, joked, “The girls are girling to Mosquito by @pinkpantheress,” in the caption of a series of photos she shared.

On X (formerly known as Twitter), the “Just For Me” singer told fans earlier this week just how proud of the song itself she is. “im ngl it took so long but y’know but this is my favourite song of mine so give grace❤️,” she wrote.

“Mosquito” follows PinkPantheress’ recent collaboration with Hyunjin of the K-pop band Stray Kids and Troye Sivan on the remix of the Australian pop star’s song “Rush.” In June, she also shared “Angel,” her contribution to the Barbie soundtrack.

Earlier this year, she released her biggest song yet with the Ice Spice team-up “Boy's a Liar Pt. 2,” which became her first song to appear on the Billboard Hot 100.
