First revealed in a recent head-to-head interview for Rolling Stone, anticipation for this has been high. Often described as a ‘TikTok sensation’, the past year has seen PinkPantheress break beyond those confines and collaborating with artists in a lot of different spaces.
Just last month, the UK star joined Paramore on stage at a show in Austin, Texas to perform their hit “Misery Business”. She’s also teamed up with Willow on “Where You Are”, with CKay on “Anya Mmiri”—which features on the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack—and we’ve also had features and collabs with Baby Keem, Don Tolliver, Mura Masa, Lil Uzi Vert, ShyGirl, Skrillex, Sam Gellaitry, Beabadoobee, and more.
PinkPantheress has been pretty vocal about her admiration for Kaytranada and has spoken in the past about wanting to work with him, even joking that her early attempts at making music were more than a little inspired by his beats. The feeling, apparently, was mutual. “I was a fan before finding out that you liked my music,” Kaytra told her in their conversation.
The pair soon connected in LA where they worked on a few different ideas. So far, this is the only one to have emerged, but the pair clearly struck up a bit of a creative connection so it wouldn’t surprise us if there was more in the pipeline.
For now, hit play on the new greyscale video at the top and be sure to add “Do You Miss Me?” to your playlists.
