Why did the Pink Shirt Couple breakup?
The Pink Shirt Couple, Cayda Christianson and Alyssa Eckstein, broke up as they decided that they needed to have some time apart to work things out.
The duo uploaded a video on February 3, titled “We Broke Up”, where they addressed all the fan theories regarding their break up. In the video, both of them even denied a particular rumor claiming that Cayda and Alyssa cheated on one another.
Cayda later addressed a key reason as to why he and Alyssa broke up and said:
“I think as individuals, like I said, the important thing is working on yourself, and when the other significant other doesn’t provide that or help better themselves or the other person, I think they might need time for themselves or apart, and I think that’s what’s best for us.”
However, the now former Pink Shirt Couple addressed that they were still really close as friends. Alyssa also expressed that she still loved and wanted the best for Cayda, before revealing to fans that she had moved out.
The Pink Shirt Couple then admitted that the breakup was hard as they were together for a long time, but also admitted to feeling more like friends than a couple during their time in the relationship.
Alyssa revealed that she will continue to make content. Meanwhile, Cayda has made his own channel Pink Shirt Single, which now has over 60K subscribers as of writing. However, he is yet to post content on the channel.
The Pink Shirt Couple has been making content since 2021. As of writing, their YouTube channel has around 19.8 million subscribers.
