Pink Reveals She's Taking Time Off Music in 2020: 'It's the Year of the Family'

We all know she’s got an amazing little family, so who could blame Pink for taking a music break in 2020 to focus more on them? The “Hurts 2B Human” singer announced her upcoming hiatus at Wednesday night’s 2019 CMA Awards, explaining that next year was shaping up to be “the year of the family” for their household. And since Pink’s husband Carey Hart and their two kids — daughter Willow Sage, 8, and son Jameson Moon, 2 — have been making the award show rounds with the couple lately, it seems like she may even be getting a jumpstart on the whole quality time thing.

Pink, who was at the show to perform “Love Me Anyway” with Chris Stapleton, stopped to chat with ET’s Cassie DiLaura about what’s in store for her in the near future. Up first in the new year? Her 14^th anniversary to Hart in January. “He deserves a trophy!” she joked, before adding, “We used to make a big deal out of it, now we’re just lucky to be together.” And on that note, the singer segued into her plans to step away from the stage for a spell in 2020.

“We did two and a half years of [music], and Willow’s back in school now. Jameson’s going to start pre-school soon. It’s kind of the year of the family,” she said. “And Carey has a lot going on as well. He’s super supportive, he follows me around the world and now it’s his turn.”

Good for them, right? It’s also nice to see the family enjoying each other so much at awards shows. Last week, her kids stole the show at the 2019 People’s Choice Awards — where Willow fielded a few red carpet questions, and Jameson was adorably pre-occupied with snacks (we feel ya, little buddy).

When asked by ET’s DiLaura at last night’s CMAs why she relishes bringing her family along with her to these events, Pink admitted it’s partially just for her. “They just make it fun for me. They have so much fun. There’s just so much to see, and it’s really cool. This is [Willow’s] second CMAs. She was a princess last time.”

Seriously, who wouldn’t want to spend more time with this family? We’re not even a part of it, and we’re ready to take a hiatus to hang out with them. Here’s wishing Pink, Hart and their adorable kiddos a laidback next few months that lead nicely into their “year of the family.”
