Pink regrets her “SpongeBob” song about scurvy: 'I wish I never did that'

Pink and porous yellow will likely never mix again.

The Grammy-winning pop star has revealed which of her past releases she thinks are her worst, singling out a song she dropped 14 years ago as part of a special project tied to the Nickelodeon cartoon SpongeBob SquarePants.

"Worst? I mean, there's been so many. Maybe 'True Love,'" the 44-year-old musician told the Los Angeles Times when asked to reflect on her least favorite tunes among her discography, initially referencing her 2013 single featuring British artist Lily Allen, which she called a "mean" song about her relationship with Carey Hart.

She went on to also list the SpongeBob song as one of her worst tracks.

"Oh wait, I did put out that SpongeBob thing — 'We've Got Scurvy,'" Pink said of the song, which appeared on the 2009 compilation album SpongeBob's Greatest Hits. "I wish I never did that. That was a real mistake."

The comedy single includes lyrics about the medical condition often associated with historical sea travel. Pink even filmed a music video for the track, in which she is dressed as a pirate while singing about scurvy complications.

"Our gums are black. Our teeth are falling out. We've got spots on our back, so give it up and shout," read the song's lyrics. "We've got scurvy. We need some vitamin C. We've got scurvy. We need a lemon tree."

Representatives for Nickelodeon did not immediately respond to EW's request for comment.
