Pine Island airlift looking for supplies to help stranded residents. Here's what they need.

Operation Airdrop, a Texas-based nonprofit organization of 100 volunteer pilots, is flying supply airlifts over Pine Island on Tuesday and Wednesday. They are asking for local help.

All donations should be taken to the Naples Airport, 330 Aviation Drive, Naples, as soon as possible. Deadline is noon WednesdayThose who do not have extra goods but want to donate financially can do so via the group's website page: Linktr.ee/opairdrop

Donations that are needed:

  • Diapers

  • Baby wipes

  • Baby formula

  • Bug spray

  • Sunscreen

  • Nonperishable foods

  • Cleaning supplies

  • Plastic sheets/tarps

  • Toothbrushes/toothpaste

  • Plastic utensils

  • Manual can openers

  • Trash bags (13 gal or contractor size bags)

  • Toothpaste

  • Toiletries

  • Pet food

  • Hand sanitizers

  • Sanitizer wipes

  • Feminine hygiene products

  • Heavy-duty work gloves

  • Socks (any size)

  • Sports drinks (powder)

  • Hydration packs (powder form)

Things they CANNOT take:

  • Used clothes

  • Water (because of the weight)

  • Hazmat items

  • Fuel

  • Flammable items

  • Most chemicals
