We have good news for Jack Bauer fans: The long wait is almost over. (For those of you who have lost track, Season 6 ended in the Spring of 2007, and Season 7 was temporarily shelved due to the writers' strike.) In January 2009, good old Jack returns for another long day in Season 7 of "24." But this time, look for some big changes. The new season will take place in Washington, D.C. and there will be a woman in the White House, played by Cherry Jones (and you thought Hillary would be the first female president!). But the show is keeping what works: the real-time action and Bauer-powered thrills you know and love. To whet your appetite, the series will air a two-hour special prequel in November, set in South Africa, to introduce the new prez.
